NOC activator is a substrate of NQO1, and increases intracellular NAD+ levels through NADH oxidation mediated by FAD.
Reduced NOC activator promotes ATP production by donating electron to the electron transfer chain in mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, and go back to the original compound.
As these redox cycle reactions are repeated, the effect of simultaneously increasing intracellular NAD+ and ATP by the NOC activator can be obtained.
